This Simpsons episode database was written using PHP and MySQL. The code for the entire site (including images) is ~15k. The data is kept in a MySQL database and entered manually through the administration front end phpMyAdmin. I wrote the code originally to be used for medical abstracts with links to journal pages as a "proof of concept" that never got off the ground. I really should finish entering the data, but it's very time consuming. Most of the information is obtained from the internet and episode books. I'm a Simpsons fanatic.

Summary: Bart tries to impress Jimbo Jones and his friends by stealing the head of the Jebediah Springfield statue in the town square. The townspeople are devastated by his act of vandalism and only Homer can help him return the head to its shoulders and fend off the angry mob.

Things You May Have Missed: Homer has an 8-track tape deck in his car. A member of the angry mob carries a sign with the likeness of jebediah Springfields head and the words "Have you seen Me?" Announcer: "Woldarsky takes it at the 5... oh my he fumbles," reference to show writer-producer Wallace Woldarsky A sign inside church where Rev. Lovejoy has just given a sermon on the evils of gambling reads, "Bingo--Tuesday night. Monte Carlo Night--Wednesday. Reno Retreat Saturday." Kearney stands on the lawn and leans on a sign that reads, "Keep off the Grass" Sideshow Bobs hair evolves from a huge red afro.
